After eight long, satisfying, sometimes trying times but wholeheartedly utterly rewarding years; the PRETTY Pioneer Newsletter is coming to a close.
I hope that my little ramblings and afﬁrmations of encouragement inspired you to love harder, be stronger, and live fuller. God gave me this idea when
I was a 15 year old sophomore in high school and decided to make this newsletter to inspire youth and build others up. In 2013, there was a Walk for Conﬁdence that I organized with youth in Pasadena as an anti-bullying campaign stemming from the newsletter. That was a wonderful blessing to be able to complete that in my 17th year.
To be frank, sometimes it was difﬁcult to say certain things every month to encourage others. I struggled because I was trying to encourage and convince myself of the same nuggets. The thing with living life is that you are going to know exactly what you are doing, and then you don’t.
I also feel that if you know what direction you are going into, it does not matter how the path ends up looking if you end up at your destination. The people you meet on your path will be there to teach you lessons, some easy and some hard ones too. You will make friends, and you will always have foes. Keep your mind on Christ and He will comfort you during hard times.
I graduated college two weeks ago, and what I gathered from my time in higher education is that you learn more about people and yourself in certain situations more than you learn new subjects. I encourage you to be more settled in who you are, once you ﬁnd out who that is. Do not change or morph yourself for anyone.
Take pride in the fact that there is only one you, and that individuality was created by the Ultimate creator for a higher purpose and you should embrace that. Not everyone will ingratiate you, but you must be content to thrive when you are by yourself as well when you are apart of a group.
I will continue to be spiritually pulling for each and everyone one of you who have stayed faithful to the little newsletter that could for the past eight years. Eight is the number of new beginnings, and I am happy to say that I will be busy doing ﬁlm projects and working on new music.
My next musical project is called “Chelsea Michelle” and it will be released later this summer. I love each and every one of you, and thank you or giving me joy and lifting my spirits up just by being bale to write this every month.
