Dr. Eric Johnson was raised in Altadena and he attended John Muir High School. Later, he received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Azusa Pacific University. Currently, residing in Gilbert, Arizona, Mr. Johnson is employed at Casa Grande Union High School as a Behavioral Interventionist.
Dr. Johnson completed his doctoral program in Organizational Management and Consulting, Psy.D. from Phillips Graduate University on April 30, 2019. His Doctoral Portfolio Project was titled: Empowering African American Male Felons Through Training and Development: Reducing Recidivism and Increasing Employment.
In his dedication, Dr. Johnson saluted the most inﬂuential people in his life, his mother, Penelope Holmes and his grandmother, Ruth Love, deceased.
Dr. Johnson stressed the importance of his ultimate life coaches and father figures, namely, Willie Holmes, Jr.; Danny Robledo; and Marcus Carter. May they rest in peace. Secondly, he thanked his church families; Friendship Baptist Church, Lincoln Ave Baptist Church, and New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with special acknowledgment to Pastor Billie R. Keller, The Men of Praise, Deacon Rosemond, Deacon Walker, Rev. Colbert, Michael Meade, and Deacon Robert. Third, he thanked his father, William I. Johnson for his love, support and guidance throughout his quest. Next, to the ultimate father ﬁgures, Lewis Maurice Miller, Chuck Walker Sr., and Walter Williams, a big thank you was rendered. Lastly, his three aces who have been a part of his life for more than 40 years: Damon Holmes, Nehemiah McNair III, and Eddie Turner, much love!
