For the sixth consecutive year, the men of Zeta Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., in conjunction with the Zeta Tau Foundation, Inc., will gather at the famous Rose Bowl with Families and Friends to celebrate Fathers.
According to Harold Reese, Coordinator of the Annual Event, Zeta Tau Chapter long ago accepted the call-to-action by the International Headquarters of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., to do its part to help close the gap of father absence in the home life of their families and children.
“We recognize the role of the father in the education of their children and the father’s role in building and sustaining the family.”
“For this and many other reasons,” he said, “we are inviting all fathers, grandfathers, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to come out to join us at the Rose Bowl Saturday morning, June 16 for the walk.” The walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. sharp in front of the Rose Bowl.
After the 3.3-mile walk, the brothers and their families and friends will gather at the cook out site to engage in fun activity and simply the usual talk. Brother Harold Reese’s two sons Glen and Bryan as well as Brother Larry Quishenberry will be there serving as Chefs extraordinaire during the cookout following the walk.
