Please Keep My Secret!
I am facing a deadline, and I have not written anything. I do not know what I am going to do, but I do know that I don’t want the boss to find out about this. So, I hope that I can trust my readers. The sports world seems to be in a low between exciting events, which does not help me at all.
We just had the Final Four, which was won by the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. However, as exciting as that was, it is yesterday’s news. The baseball season has already started, but they’re going to play a zillion games before the season is over. Two of those teams will get to the World Series, and one of them will win it. However, as exciting as that may be, it does not help me now.
The NBA is finishing up their regular season, and the playoffs are about to start. The Lakers did not make it, but the Clippers did. They will be in the playoffs, and they will be seeded fourth or fifth. If they become the fourth seed, then they will have the home-court advantage in that series. How exciting is that? I need something really big to get me through this.
I think that the Lakers will make some dramatic changes in the off-season. Magic Johnson is determined to return this team to its former greatness, and he expects to have a winning team next season. While that is exciting news, it does not help me now. So, I am still in trouble.
I admire the game of hockey, but I was never a fan of that sport. I do not like cold weather, and I never learned how to ice skate. I do realize that hockey players are incredible athletes, and that they play exciting games, but I never write about them. No disrespect intended.
So, I guess I’m just waiting for the battles between LeBron James and Seth Curry. Throw in a little Russell Westbrook, and a dash of Chris Paul, and things will get interesting. However, even that does not help me today. What am I to do?
While it will not help me today, one of these teams is going to win the NBA Championship. The contestants are the Golden State Warriors, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the San Antonio Spurs. I do not think that any of the other teams can break into this select group. Also, even though it breaks my heart to write this, I believe that the Spurs will win it all. In order to do this, their entire team will have to play well. Of course I could be wrong and the Warriors or the Cavaliers might be the ones who emerge victoriously. However, even that will not help me today. The boss never reads my stuff anyway so, please help me keep this article as our secret.
