Recently I saw a vintage black & white picture of a loving couple on Facebook. She wore a black bikini and he wore black swimming trunks. The young dark-haired physically attractive couple leaned against a boulder on the beach posing for the camera. The male was muscular, handsome and had a glowing smile while the shapely woman eyes beamed with joy. They held hands as her head rested gently on his shoulder. The date on the photograph was 1963.
Many men and women are drawn to each other because of their good looks. In fact, many choose their mates solely on looks. On TV, in magazine and on billboard ads good looks attracts superficial relationships. However, true love is more than surface beauty. Seldom does a physical attraction endure the unforeseen occurrences of mental and/or physical health issues. Being lured by sexual gratification can also be temporal and predicated on a variety of factors. Love is more than beauty, sweet words and romantic excursions. Eternal love endures beyond the proverbial honeymoon . . . it goes the distance.
