August Issue: Back in Action
August, August, August.
I cannot tell if this month has arrived too soon, or the past 12 months were gone in a blink. It is a little too early to tell however; but like it or not; another school year is upon us.
I know that getting back to the grind leaves little to be desired, yet it has to get done. Just like taking a gulp of cough syrup when you don’t feel well, ripping off a band-aid; it has to happen.
The best thing to do is to have a good attitude about it anyways. Going forward, there will be tests. The Lord does not test you, but God never said that the world will not.
So you have to trust in the Lord to get you through. When people do push you to certain limits, you have to know whether it is for your own good or not.
At times, instinct will give you wisdom to determine what people are leaning towards. I feel that no matter what the consensus is, forgiveness is the only way to move forward in life. Forgiveness is not always for the other person but for you to move forward.
This school year, I want you to completely own it. In order to do that, you must remember to listen not to respond but to communicate and take initiative to read people properly.
