Spring is in the air, and if you are in my case; so is pollen! So before you have a snifﬂe attack, check out this issue! If you are like me, you probably can’t even sit still long enough to grab some tissues. I have a lot of trouble resting; I just always like to be doing something. Going to class, writing songs, rehearsing, performing; and hanging out with friends, it does not matter as long as I am not twiddling my thumbs I’m good. This is all ﬁne, but I never know when to take some time off. I know that by being a millennial, I have more energy than most to push through.
Even though I have the stamina; I also am aware that this is not always the best way to live my life. Without proper rest, your body can begin to break down and then comes the colds, inﬂammation, and There is a solution to this problem of fear of complacency. Since spring is when most ﬂowers and herbs begin to bloom and rise, here comes the “gardening” analogy. Are you ready? When you are sowing seed in your daily life towards your career goals or relationship goals, it is imperative to take some time to stop and rest. Staying planted will in the long run give you more momentum to tackle more feats later on. body aches.
Do not be afraid to say “No” to people if you feel that you are stretching yourself too thin, and feel free to “plant” yourself in a safe space to make time for yourself. If you are not healthy, you will not be of proper use to anyone to do what you have to do effectively. Without contributing 100 percent, mere pieces of you are going to be of service, and that is never ok. It’s either all of you or none at all.
