You are probably aware by now that Mona and Lu are twins. They went on Spring Break together on a class trip to Washington D.C. She visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture, The Pentagon Memorial, Mount Vernon, Arlington National Cemetery, The National Museum of Dr. Martin Luther King and more – what great history! On other trips she visited Hawaii, Disney World in Florida and Louisiana.
Mona excels in her school where she has been on the honor role for three consecutive years. She won first place in Environmental Management at the LA County Fair. She holds a 3.73 GPA. Mona’s favorite school subjects are science, art and history. The career she is looking at is to become a climatologist or biologist (that’s some heavy stuff!).
The sisters made a great impression on the audience performing African proverbs on the Kwanzaa program at La Pintoresca Library in Pasadena. Mona’s pastime activities are drawing, sketching, painting and writing. Her sports activities are competitive swimming, track and gymnastics. Thata-girl! Her favorite TV shows are TINY HOUSE NATION, BIG BROTHER and SURVIVOR.
She attends Sunday School at New Revelation Baptist Church and enjoys the activities, plays and musical programs performed there. For eats she enjoys Poke Bowl and crepes. Looks like Mona has everything covered.
