Things usually appear to be calm at the center of a hurricane. However, you know that all around you events are going to happen. You just hope with all your heart that they will not be too bad. Many sports fans are trapped in this center, and they are wondering what is going to happen next?
Will the Clippers finally be sold to Steve Ballmer before the August 15 deadline, or will Donald T. Sterling find another way to delay that from happening? He is fighting for this team, as if his life depended upon him keeping it. Will any of us make it until Friday?
Will Kobe Bryant be physically able to play the entire season? If so, how many games will he play, before he clashes with new head coach Byron Scott? Bryant does have good intentions, but "Once a Diva, always a Diva."
Will the trade of Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers finally happen? LeBron wants Love on his team, and so it will be. With him, this is mainly a matter of business. He is selling shoes and other products all over the world. Higher visibility for him means higher sales. Therefore, he feels that he must be on a team that gets into the NBA Playoffs every year, and that team must also be capable of contending for the Championship. He probably expects to play in the NBA for the additional five or six years, so he has chosen not to gamble on the performance of their highly regarded first round draft choice. Goodbye and good luck, Mr. Wiggins.
