Elyse Sharp is an achiever, artist and athlete. She was born and raised in Pasadena and will graduate from John Muir High School in May. She has always been active in school activities, as well as community projects.
In high school she served as chief media officer of the Associated Student Body (ASB). She served as editor-in-chief of the year book. She is on the Principalʼs and Counselorʼs honor roll and won the Leadership Award.
Elyse has great passion for the arts and her career choice is graphic design and advertising. She creates greeting cards and posters. She displayed her artwork on the program “Chocolate Storytime” at the La Pintoresca Library. She loves to draw and paint animals – her animals have such great personalities that you would want to take one home. She is now working on developing her art portfolio.
She was a member of John Muirʼs Track & Field team, specializing in the 100 and 400 meter events.
Her community service activities include the Rotary Club, and Outward Bound Adventures. She enjoys getting together with family for fun activities. She loves to read and her favorite books are the Hunger Games Trilogy, The Great Gatsby and Hamlet. She has traveled to Times Square in NY, The Alamo in TX, and of course Disney World, FL. The most exciting place she visited was Hanama Bay in Hawaii, famous for snorkeling. Her ﬁrst choice for college is UC Santa Barbara.
She attends Fellowship Monrovia, Pastor, Rev. Albert Tate.
