Awards Presented to Civil Rights and Social Justice Pioneers

On Sunday, October 12, 2014, the Pasadena/Foothills Chapter American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) hosted an afternoon Garden Party in honor of their 15 years of service, at Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church in Pasadena.
Steven Rohde, President ACLU Southern California Foundation Board of Directors, informed guests about new and continuing national Civil Rights and discrimination issues being fought by the ACLU in the Appeals Court and the Supreme Court.
Honorees were introduced and awarded as Social Justice Pioneers. They included:
The afternoon ended with introductions of the ACLU Board members, new members, continuing members, honored colleagues and special guests.
Dick Price, of LA Progressive, served as the Master of Ceremonies.
