This Summer at Kidspace will Feature Dinosaurs, Farmer Days, and the First Birthday of the Galvin Physics Forest
Pasadena, CA (June 18, 2013) – Summertime is a full season at Kidspace Children's Museum. Special events and activities all summer long will give families plenty of options to beat the heat, avoid summer learning loss, and enjoy the great outdoors. Among the many activities this summer is the first birthday of The Galvin Physics Forest which will take place the weekend of July 12-14, 2013. Here are a few of the special events that will be taking place this summer:
Free Family Night - Tuesday, July 2, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Admission to Kidspace is free from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., July Free Family Night is sponsored by ScholarShare and TIAA-CREF and made possible by a gift from the Michael J. Connell Foundation.
Galvin Physics Forest Birthday Celebration - Friday, July 12 to Sunday, July 14, A celebration of the first birthday of the Galvin Physics Forest with feature performances, special guests, as well as physics demonstrations, crafts, and activities.
Annual Summer Job Fair
The Pasadena Department of Social Services Office will have their annual summer job fair.
Job seekers should be dressed in professional attire, bring extra copies of their resume and be ready for possible on-the-spot interviews.
This event is sponsored by the Jackie Robinson Community Center, Managed Care Solutions (Alhambra Job Club) and the L.A. County Office of Education.

The summer job fair will be held Saturday, June 27, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jackie Robinson Community Center located at 1020 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91103.
The Fifth Annual Pasadena Marathon is around the corner. Spectators can come out and root for friends, love ones and other runners competing in the 5k, 10k and half marathon-with kids competing in the 1k.
Enjoy live entertainment, food and retailers at the Race Day Festival. There's even a Kids Zone for the Children!

STREET CLOSURES ON RACE DAY
Beginning at 5:30 a.m. on race day, Pasadena Police will begin securing the race route. Streets will re-open on a rolling basis based on a 15-minute per mile pace with a complete course re-opening by 10:30 a.m. Expect delays when traveling in Pasadena on race day, your patience and observance of traffic control is appreciated.
