Women At Work announced that an additional $34,000 has been raised towards a $50,000 Women At Work Founders Challenge grant. These funds will help provide many services to job seekers, both women and men, and to job providers in the San Gabriel Valley, Crescenta Valley and northeast Los Angeles. "It is exciting to see the community support for our agency, especially since this is Women At Work's 35th year. We are so grateful to everyone who gave generously, and who held special events so that people could learn about our important work," said Uma Shrivastava, President of the Board of Directors.
"We are gratified that the community believes so strongly in our mission," said Camille Levee, Executive Director of the organization. "This grant and the additional donations the agency received will help our agency continue to meet the challenges of the current volatile economy."
