Nearly 40 members of the Glendora business community gathered in support of the new Wells Fargo location at 625 South Lone Hill Avenue, Glendora CA, 91740. Attending the ribbon cutting event were elected officials and other prominent members of the community, including Glendora Mayor Judy Nelson, former Glendora Mayor Joe Santoro, former assemblymember Anthony Portantino, and representative Brian Mejia, from Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich's office.
"Wells Fargo is happy to open a new location to better serve the people and businesses of Glendora," said Raphael Henderson, Wells Fargo North Hills vice president. "At Wells Fargo we know we can only be as strong as the strength of the community, so it is our goal to work with the chamber of commerce and local businesses to help create a thriving city for us all."
At the event Wells Fargo introduced Wells Fargo Works for Small Business, a broad initiative to deliver resources, guidance and services to help more small businesses achieve financial success. With the new initiative, Wells Fargo is also announcing a goal to extend $100 billion in new lending to small businesses by 2018.
"We know small businesses are the engine that drive economic recovery, helping communities to grow, add jobs and prosper," said Darryl Montgomery, Wells Fargo Eastern Gateway president. "Through Wells Fargo Works for Small Business and our new lending goal, we want to emphasize that Wells Fargo is 100 percent in support of helping the small business community in Glendora, and nationwide. We hope that small businesses will find these new tools and resources valuable and will enable Wells Fargo to fulfill our mission of helping all of our customers succeed financially."
