Pasadena Firefighters to Wear Pink to Fight Breast Cancer with Fire

WHO: Pasadena Firefighters will turn in the black and blue uniform shirts for pink to raise awareness of breast cancer and cancer research.

WHAT: Fire personnel will forego uniform shirts for pink ones with the International Association of Firefighter's and Pasadena Fire Department logos. Shirts will also be sold to the public and 100 percent of monies raised will be donated to the Huntington – Hill Breast Cancer Center which provides supportive groups and treatment from diagnosis to recovery.


  • Kick-Off Event is Friday, October 18th at 7:30 a.m. at Fire Station 33, 515 N. Lake Avenue (cross street is Villa).   (Huntington Hill Breast Center cancer survivors, Pasadena Fire personnel on Fire ladder truck) – good aerial shot.
  • Fill The Pink Boot is Monday, October 21st from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Arroyo Parkway & Del Mar (west-end) & Rosemead & Foothill (east-end). One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated.

WHY: As public servants, Pasadena firefighters have the opportunity to lead by example in the community everyday which enables them to promote awareness and support a cause that has affected every member of the department.
