Sunday, November 6, 2011, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Target Sundays at CAAM presents Giving Thanks and Lifting Our Voices to the Armed Forces
The California African American Museum (CAAM) will give an official "thank you" to the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and all military veterans, for their services to our nation and keeping our families and country safe.
Lifting our Voices in song and spoken word, CAAM encourages all to join in on the appreciation of those securing the nation.
An art workshop guided by artist and local educator Teresa Tolliver will be held, where participants can create their own Armed Force art piece giving thanks through arts.
CAAM also kicks off its annual food drive partnering with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to collect food for the needy.
This event is free and open to the public.
