In honor of Black History Month, Flintridge Operating Foundation, in collaboration with the La Pintoresca Branch Library, will present Dr. Terrence Roberts, one of nine students known as the "Little Rock Nine," who volunteered to desegregate Arkansas' Little Rock Central High School in 1957.

Dr. Roberts will speak about his book, Lessons from Little Rock, followed by a reception and book signing. Thursday, February 4, from 6 – 8 p.m. La Pintoresca Branch Library, 1355 N. Raymond Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91103.

In addition to offering a powerful firsthand account of a seminal moment in history, Dr. Roberts will speak about growing up in the segregated South, the effects of racism on daily life and the lessons he learned, particularly the need to accept and embrace differences and diversity—issues that continue to affect our society.
