Prospective graduating African-American students are invited to apply for the chapter's 2011 academic scholarships.

In order to qualify, students MUST reside or attend school within the Foothill communities and surrounding cities between Burbank to LaVerne and meet the following criteria:

• High School graduating senior;
• Minimum GPA 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale);
• Acceptance at a Community College, 4-year College or University;
• Community Service Involvement;
• Extra-curricular School Involvement

[Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Foothill Alumnae Chapter was established in March 1991 and primarily serves the African-American community in the San Gabriel/Foothill areas.
