"Ask Your Mama: The Langston Hughes Project," a multimedia jazz show by renowned author and musician Dr. Ron McCurdy and his quartet, will be performing at Pasadena City College on Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. in Harbeson Hall.

The show recreates Hughes' vision of the global struggle for freedom during the early 1960s.

Audiences will experience the impact of jazz on American art and culture while gaining a deeper appreciation for diversity and modern social justice issues.
