Pasadena City College will be hosting the "Tuskegee: Journey to Flight" exhibit beginning October 16 in the African American Heritage Room on the second floor of the Shatford Library. The exhibit is an abridged version of the original presentation that was conceived and curated by the California African American Museum.
"Tuskegee: Journey to Flight" tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, squadrons of African-American pilots and support staff who fought during World War II and were trained at Tuskegee Institute, a historically black college in Tuskegee, Ala. The exhibit will run through January 14, 2011.
On October 16, two hour-long tours of the exhibit will be held at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. A panel discussion with the Tuskegee Airmen takes place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Vosloh Forum.
