Professional storytellers and musicians will share their tales and sing songs in their own unique style of programming for children at Central Library and several Pasadena Public Library branches Thursdays throughout July.
Veteran musician and performer Craig Newton will sing and showcase ten different musical instruments in Splish Splash on Thursday, July 1 at 10 a.m. at Central Library in the Donald R. Wright Auditorium, 285 E. Walnut St. and at 3 p.m. at Hill Avenue Branch Library, 55 S. Hill Avenue.
Yvette Brandy will present Water Folktales, Caribbean inflected, fun-for-all folktales about water on Thursday, .July 8 at 10 a.m. at Central Library in the Donald R. Wright Auditorium, 285 E. Walnut St. and 3 p.m. at La Pintoresca Branch Library, 1355 N. Raymond Avenue.
Singer, songwriter and musician Carrie Higgins will bring her unique "Cante Fables" stories told in song with lots of opportunities for children to join in on Thursday, July 15 at 10 a.m. at Central Library in the Donald R. Wright Auditorium and 4 p.m. at Villa Parke Branch Library, 363 E. Villa Street.
Flights of Fantasy will present Make a Splash with their unique brand of humor and fun on Thursday, July 22 at 10 a.m. at Central Library in the Donald R. Wright Auditorium, 1 p.m. at Lamanda Park Branch Library, 140 S. Altadena Dr. and 3:30 p.m. at Allendale Branch Library, 1130 S. Marengo Avenue.
Jeff the Great combines storytelling with magic, comedy and juggling and will leave you amazed and amused with his stories and astonishing tricks in Splish, Splash, Read on Thursday, July 29 at 10 a.m. at Central Library in the Donald R. Wright Auditorium and 1 p.m. at Hastings Branch Library, 3325 E. Orange Grove Blvd.
