Kids, sixth grade and younger, will receive a book bag and a reading record to list all of the books they read or have read to them during the summer. They will be awarded a prize each week when they visit the library and share what books they've read or listened to that week.
In keeping with this year's Summer Reading Club theme for kids, Make A Splash This Summer, there will be a variety of entertaining programs and shows to spark kid's creativity and imagination all summer long. In July they'll be dazzled by the magical performance of "Illusions by Allen" and amused by the "Tales and Tunes" series featuring musicians Craig Newton and Carrie Higgins; storytellers Yvette Brandy and Flights of Fantasy and magic, comedy and juggling by Jeff the Great. To top it off in August the Pacific Animal Productions will display animals whose lives depend on water and animals that need no water at all!
