Schiff, Feinstein and Boxer Urge White House to Fully Fund Earthquake Early Warning System

Letter Signed By Thirty Members and All Senators of California, Oregon and Washington State

Burbank, CA – This week, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Burbank), along with Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Barbara Boxer (D-CA), urged President Obama and the White House's Office of Management and Budget, to provide the highest possible funding level for earthquake hazards programs in their 2015 budget request – most specifically, additional funding for an earthquake early warning system being developed by scientists in Southern California and along the West Coast.

Black news from Pasadena - In Brief - Pasadena Police Department grantPasadena Police Department has been awarded a $ 386,000.00 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for a year-long program of special enforcement and public awareness efforts to prevent traffic related deaths and injuries. Pasadena Police Department will use the funding as part of the city's ongoing commitment to keep our roadways safe and improve the quality of life through both enforcement and education.
