South Los Angeles, CA - Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer, Chair of the Subcommittee on Public Safety, which covers the courts and law enforcement agencies for the state, called the apprehension and beating of Marlene Pinnock by a California Highway Patrolman "Tragic and calls for an immediate investigation. On that video tape, it was clear that the number of blows to the head that the officer struck Ms. Pinnock with looked like police brutality."
