Two John Muir seniors were awarded the McDonalds Men's Group Scholarship. Tyler Pulley and Jeremy Rogers each received the $500 cash scholarship. Both students were hard workers, and the group wanted to reward them for being great examples. Pulley was accepted to The University of California at Irvine as a Computer Science major and Rogers was accepted Cal State Los Angeles as an Engineering major.

The McDonald's Men's Group is a group of men that meet at McDonald's on Lincoln Avenue and Woodbury Drive for breakfast Monday through Saturday. They discuss the world's issues and try to come up with solutions to the current community problems.

When Otis Triplett was asked why he donates to the McDonald's Men's Group Scholarship fund, he said without hesitation, "I wanted to help the young men at John Muir High School as much as possible.

Our youth are a direct reflection of what our community will be in the future. I am honored to be a part of this scholarship."
