Union Station Homeless Services 40th Anniversary Gala Celebration
Melora Hardin (The Office, Monk, Do it Yourself) and Gildart Jackson (Charmed, General Hospital, Whodunnit?) will host a Place to Call Home, a 40th anniversary gala celebration on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena. The event celebrates 40 years of helping men, women, and children in our community rebuild their lives, and will include a reception, silent auction, dinner, and special awards ceremony to commemorate this extraordinary milestone.
Union Station Homeless Services 40th Anniversary Gala Celebration will honor Pasadena Mayor Bill and Claire Bogaard, and Robert Floe for their support of Union Station's lifesaving work.
Thanks to the outstanding leadership of Mayor Bill and Claire Bogaard, Pasadena is a prosperous and creative community that values its future as much as it cherishes its past. Together, the Bogaards have promoted balanced growth in the City of Pasadena. As two-term mayor (and Pasadena's first elected mayor since 1921) Bill Bogaard has promoted tremendous growth in the City of Pasadena by attracting and retaining financial services, technology and retail, and a light-rail system. A fervent community activist, Claire Bogaard champions and protects Pasadena's historic treasures, and has led the Pasadena Heritage, a private historic preservation group that she helped found. Her leadership has helped the city preserve and celebrate its cultural and historic heritage.
Robert J. Floe is the founder and president of Floe Financial Partners. Floe Financial Partners became associated with Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network in 2012. A native of Minnesota, Robert He has been active with charitable organizations his entire life and has served leadership positions with local Pasadena charities including Union Station Homeless Services, where is a former Board Chair.
Celebrity hosts Melora Hardin and Gildart Jackson are both successful actors. Currently, Melora is the star of TBS's comedy Do It Yourself and Gildart is the host of the new ABC reality show Whodunnit? They have been married since 1997, have two children and live in Pasadena.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Union Station's programs to help homeless individuals and families achieve stability and independence.
