The City of Pasadena's Human Services and Recreation Department continues its After School Adventures Program beginning January 7, 2013. The program is designed to provide affordable, flexible and convenient after-school child care for only $25 per week at Pasadena Unified School District elementary school sites.
After School Adventures Program children are supervised by well-trained and compassionate staff. All participants will experience exciting and fun activities including games, sports, and cooking projects, artistic expression, music and drama, socialization skills and learn the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle. Snacks are included at most sites and all sites incorporate Safety First standards.
Program walk-in registration opened January 7 at Robinson Park Center, 1081 N. Fair Oaks. Online registration is available at www.cityofpasadena.net/reserve.
"Pasadena's After School Adventures Program is a great place for children to spend their time after school with friends while supervised by well-trained staff," said Mercy Santoro, Director, Human Services and Recreation Department. "Our program has a child development focus and provides a range of activities that promote health and wellness, learning through trips and guest speakers, as well as homework assistance."
