Howard Hughes was a giant in aviation.
Millions were earned through hard work and innovation.
It brought no solace. He went into seclusion, and could not face a nation.
Oh, what degradation!
Money and fame couldn't abate Hughes' trepidations!
Many travel this road without hesitation.
Reaching their end, they meet frustration!
Placing hope in the things of this world, doesn't satisfy; and they become unglued!
They sedate themselves, get into drugs or try a suicidal coup!
Elvis Presley had it all.
Elvis could sing, swing and had a ball!
He was a handsome musician-a movie star; making girls swoon and fall!
He died fat and depressed with a prescription drug overdose call!
It was sad to see their end!
Apparently, no peace was within them.
Don't wait to let fame and fortune become your ultimate friend!
Only Jesus, The Prince of Peace, can give you the true peace--Believe in him.
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
"And he will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6 NIV)
Dear Pastor Glovioell,
The alcohol spilled. It pissed me off! I had to walk back up to Jimmy's house to get to use his car again. My hoopty was tore up from my last DUI wreck. Oh shi _! Jimmy wasn't there any more. I needed my drink. I started shaking. I could not use my cell phone. My minutes were gone.
No, I am not a skid row bum. I am the CEO of a Fortune 500 company.
